Call for Presenters: Service-Learning and Civic Engagement

The Call for Presenters for the Eleventh Annual Michigan Institute: Service-Learning and Civic Engagement is now available. It can be accessed on-line at http://www.micampuscompact.org/institute07.asp. (This conference website will be updated as pieces of the conference develop.)
The Michigan Community Service Commission (MCSC) and the Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) are pleased to invite you to consider presenting at the 2007 Institute. The conference will be held February 8-9, 2007 on the campus of Schoolcraft College.
More than 300 educators and students will gather to share ideas and best practices and explore challenges related to the successful development and implementation of service-learning and civic engagement.
All proposals will be welcomed. Some Suggested topics from the Institute Planning Committee include:
Institutionalization and Sustainability
Advocacy
Discipline-Specific
Co-Curricular Service
Data Collection and Evaluation
Rigor & Relevance
Research
Proposals should be geared toward K-12 Administrators and Faculty, Higher Education Administrators, Faculty, Staff and Students ranging from seasoned professionals to beginners. Partnerships are encouraged to be formed to present together on like topics or projects. Please note there are also options for poster sessions and roundtable discussions if a full content session is not the best format for your or your project.
Presenters receive a reduced conference registration rate of only $70. Please consider submitting a proposal and pass this call onto your colleagues in K-12 and Higher Education!! Applications are due October 13, 2006.
