Call for Presenters: PACDC Equitable Development Conference – Mar 4

Posted by Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations on February 18, 2020

2020 Forward Equitable Development Conference Call for Presenters – Philadelphia does better when we all do better.

PACDC’s Community Development Leadership Institute is accepting proposals to present at its Equitable Development Conference on July 8-9, 2020 at Jefferson University in Center City.  Submit Your Presentation by 5 pm on Wednesday, March 4th.

The two days are designed to create opportunities for shared learning and networking in support of the amazing work already occurring in communities near and far, but also to collectively demonstrate how our region is advancing the conversation on equitable development.

For 2020, we are seeking presentations that help uncover how arts programming, artists, and the creative economy can help advance equitable communities. And we always welcome presenters from other diverse sectors that touch on community development:

  • Housing
  • Economic Development
  • Community Engagement
  • Advocacy and Organizing
  • Arts
  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Environmental Awareness and Sustainability
  • Youth and Young Adult Empowerment
  • And more!

Presenters may request a 75-90 minute session on Wednesday, July 8th, a half-day seminar on Thursday, July 9th, or both.

Please note: We will ask Wednesday presenters to pay a significantly reduced conference registration fee of $50 per person to cover costs. However, PACDC will offer complimentary registration and a small stipend to unpaid resident leaders who are presenters.

All proposals must be submitted by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 4th, 2019. Please send your completed form and any associated attachments to Zakya Hall, Membership and Communications Coordinator, at [email protected].
