Does service-learning excite you? Do you enjoy helping students understand the value of community by engaging them in meaningful service-learning? Are you a student trying to make a difference in your school and community by being a civically engaged leader?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, then join us at Our World, Our Future! the 23rd Annual National Service-Learning Conference and youthrive PeaceJam National Leadership Conference, April 11-14, in Minneapolis, Minn. Online registration is now open to the largest gathering of youth and practitioners involved in service-learning, drawing approximately 2,200 attendees from across the Unites States and many other countries. The conference is jam-packed with educational workshops, thought leader sessions, hands-on service-learning projects, and networking opportunities. Attendees can also check out over 100 exhibits, the conference bookstore, and many great projects on display at the Service-Learning Showcase.
The 2012 conference will feature an exciting array of speakers, including Geoffrey Canada, President and CEO of Harlem Children’s Zone, Inc., a passionate advocate for education reform and one of TIME Magazine’s Top 100 influential people of 2011; Shirin Ebadi, Nobel Laureate and Iran’s first female judge; and Jeron Mariani, youth service-learning trainer and member of youthrive.

Call for Presenters
Do you have an outstanding service-learning program? Do you have a message that needs to be heard?
Consider sharing information about your experiences at the conference by submitting a workshop proposal. Present your quality workshop to teachers in K-12 and higher education, youth leaders, trainers, policy-makers, grantees, researchers, funders, and many others. Young people are strongly encouraged to submit proposals. All proposals must be submitted online by midnight CDT, September 23, 2011.
