The 23rd Annual National Dropout Prevention Network Conference is inviting innovative, skilled presenters who have excellent ideas, proven programs, and research to share in the areas of (1) family involvement, (2) school culture, (3) attendance and truancy, (4) leadership, (5) re-enrolling dropouts, (6) community partnerships, (7) funding issues, and  (8) curriculum and instruction.

There are three types of Conference Presentation Formats:

Roundtable/Carousel-The focus of the Roundtable/Carousel Session is to feature exemplary programs.  The format is for each presenter to make a 30-minute, informal presentation on one of the conference topics, delivered two times in a 60-minute session.  Each presenter will have a table at which 8-10 people will gather to listen and react to the presentation.  No audiovisual equipment will be provided for the Roundtable/Carousel Session.

Seminar-The focus of this 60-minute formal presentation is to feature research-based demonstration projects on one of the conference topics.  Seminar Sessions are scheduled throughout the conference.  The seminar should include a brief time for questions/answers from the audience.  An LCD projector and screen can be provided if requested.

Workshop-The focus of the 90-minute presentation is to feature skill-building and how-to kinds of presentations on one of the conference topics and incorporate active learning strategies in the delivery.  Workshops are scheduled throughout the conference.  An LCD projector and screen can be provided if requested.
