The New Jersey Higher Education Service-Learning Consortium invites you to present at the first statewide Learning to End Hunger Conference, this spring. We are seeking innovative workshops which present an unprecedented approach to end hunger in New Jersey, through service-learning and civic engagement on college campuses. Workshops will run for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Conference Overview
The goals of the conference are to explore service-learning and civic engagement best practices that address hunger and food insecurity in our communities. The practices include interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary collaborations, innovative partnerships, research and student leadership. The conference welcomes presentations by faculty, administrators, students and community partners from beginner to advanced levels of work. Examples of presentation topics can include, but not be limited to:

Program Proposal Guidelines
Presentations are limited to 1 hour and 15 minutes. The RFP requests the following information and can be filled out and returned online at the link below:
1. Name, Title, Address, Phone number, and E-Mail of Coordinating Presenter and Co-Presenter(s)
2. Title of Program
3. Program Abstract for Conference Booklet (100 word maximum)
4. Program Description, including:
● Conference Theme: How does your program address it?
● Goals for the program: What do you hope participants will learn?
● Presenter qualifications: Your experience and expertise with the topic, including previous presentations at regional and/or national conferences.
Showcase your work…
Whether you wish to give a formal presentation or not, some attendees may have the opportunity to display service-learning success stories. Project displays will be presented throughout the conference center for participants to view during the course of the day.

*The New Jersey Higher Education Service-Learning Consortium is a statewide network of educators, community partners and students that supports and fosters Service-Learning principles and practices at institutions of higher education in the state. Combining a variety of experiential learning strategies, the Consortium seeks to strengthen both academic institutions and communities.
