Call for Participation: During/Post COVID Community Response Project – Oct 1

Posted by The Ecwiti Group on September 28, 2021

In partnership with the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council, The Ecwiti Group is implementing the The During/Post COVID Community Response Project.

The Project

This project aims to educate and bring awareness to the barriers that minority persons living with disabilities are or have faced through COVID to ignite systemic change and empower disabled minorities in solution development.

This project and output will be guided by an exploratory committee which represents the population of interest to ensure that the project speaks to their real, lived experiences, barriers, dreams and needs. This is an open call for participants.

The output of this project will be a 45-60 min webinar highlighting the findings of our listening campaign & environmental research, as well as personal stories, aimed at medical & mental health workers and minority members of the disabled community and their families. However we hope it will have wider application.

The Exploratory Committee: Who We’re Looking For

We are defining ‘minority’ and ‘disabled’ in the broadest senses, aiming to have a mix of gender, race, sexual preference, socio-economic class, educational background and geographical location, as well as vision, mobility, auditory, neurological, cognitive, medical and psychological disabilities. Anyone who self-identifies as a minority person living with a disability/disabilities who meets our criteria is actively encouraged to participate.

View the project packet with full details on who we’re looking for and participant requirements, including our meeting schedule and stipend.

Interested persons can submit their interest by APPLYING HERE by midnight on October 1, 2021.

Webinar Access

If you’re interested in viewing the project webinar or feel it could be a benefit to your community, please let us know ([email protected]) and we’ll make sure to keep you informed of viewing opportunities once released.
