Interdisciplinary Community Development: International Perspectives

Papers are sought for a special issue of the Journal of the Community Practice on “Interdisciplinary Community Development: International Perspectives.” The special issue will examine interdisciplinary community development in urban and rural areas focused on issues such as poverty, health, housing, and the environment.

Papers are invited on interdisciplinary research, practice, and teaching that advance innovation and provide evidence of outcomes in community development, including: 1) the status of interdisciplinary community development in a country, or a region of the world; 2) theory, principles, models, and innovation in community development; 3) case studies that illustrate best practices; 4) challenges, strengths, and outcomes of interdisciplinary practice, teaching and research; 5) interdisciplinary community organizations and their development; and 6) human rights, social justice, and social change in interdisciplinary community development.

Authors wishing to submit papers should send an extended abstract (2 to 3 pages) that describes their proposed contribution. All works must be original and previously unpublished. Following the abstract evaluation, authors will be notified regarding the submission of full papers. Full papers receive anonymous peer review. The Call for Papers is posted at http://www.acosa.org.
