CALLING ALL FACULTY

The Journal of Public Scholarship in Higher Education is soliciting applications for a co-editor, reviewers, and manuscripts for the 2015 edition.

The Journal of Public Scholarship in Higher Education is an academic peer-reviewed journal with a focus on community/civic engagement. JPSHE aims to advance the status and prospects for publicly engaged teaching and research in the academy by showcasing the new disciplinary and/or pedagogical knowledge generated by engagement with the community. Missouri Campus Compact has published 4 volumes, beginning in 2010 all in print form. Starting with the 2015 volume, JPSHE will be hosted online in an open access format. Engaged Faculty Fellow / Co-Editor – DEADLINE November 1, 2014

The Journal of Public Scholarship in Higher Education is Missouri Campus Compact is soliciting applications for our Engaged Faculty Fellowship. The role of the Fellow is as co-editor of the Journal of Public Scholarship in Higher Education. All duties editing and publishing JPSHE will be performed in conjunction with the Executive Director of Missouri Campus Compact as co-editor. Together, the co-editors will be responsible for soliciting manuscripts, supervising the review process, and final selection of manuscripts for publication. A stipend of $3500 will be provided by Missouri Campus Compact to compensate for work on the journal. The Fellow must be a representative of a Missouri Campus Compact member campus. Reviewers – DEADLINE November 1, 2014

Missouri Campus Compact is soliciting reviewers for the Journal of Public Scholarship in Higher Education. We are looking for higher education faculty and staff with a terminal degree who have a background in community/civic engagement research and/or practice. Reviewers must be committed to assisting with the progression of the field of public scholarship and be able to devote time to the review process. Previous experience with publishing or serving as a peer-reviewer is recommended. Please see the JPSHE website for more information. http://jpshe.missouristate.edu/

Call for Manuscripts – DEADLINE February 1, 2015

JPSHE provides a venue for higher education faculty and administrative leadership to reflect on the ways that community engagement affects work in higher education. JPSHE welcomes diverse manuscripts, from empirically-based examinations to critical reflection pieces, theoretical investigations, commentaries, case studies, and pedagogical and research designs. All submissions must identify implications for the growth and viability of public scholarship in the academy. For more information, please see the JPSHE website http://jpshe.missouristate.edu/
