Please consider submitting a chapter for our edited book, How to Facilitate Community-Based Learning as part of Edward Elgar Publishing How To Guides. Consider sharing your expertise by responding to us by December 1, 2024 with your intention to submit. We are seeking authors for chapters 3, 6, 9, and 10.

How to Facilitate Community Based Learning (CBL) is a short introduction for people who are CBL curious and wondering about the initial steps, process and overarching approaches. It raises questions that are meant to help faculty, practitioners, administrators, and community partners think through the complexity of the courses in the beginning so they can build on and use existing resources. As such, the style of each chapter is practical, emphasizing lived experiences, shared knowledge, and best practices.

If accepted, your chapter will be peer-reviewed; we request that you also peer review a colleague’s chapter. Please click here to indicate your interest in writing a particular chapter and to view the outline of the book and descriptions of chapters 3, 6, 9, and 10. While it’s possible to deviate from the description of the chapter, the word limit is not as flexible.
