The Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia’s Business On Board program provides a four-month leadership program focused on effective board governance and matches you with one of the hundreds of arts and cultural organizations in the region.

Business On Board offers participants the unique learning experience of observing a board in action as a component of the training. If you are already a member of an arts and cultural board, you may participate at a greatly reduced cost and apply what you learn to the board on which you currently serve.

Varied and interactive coursework includes:

» Fundamentals of board member roles and expectations

» Best practices in board governance and situational leadership

» Board-staff dynamics and organizational planning

» Case studies, reading materials, presentations and panel discussions

» Custom board matching based on your skills, geography and creative interests

When/Where: Four full-day Friday sessions in 2014
» January 31 – Philadelphia Museum of Art
» March 7 – The Center for Architecture
» April 11 – The Curtis Institute of Music
