The Office of University Partnerships (OUP) invites you to join “Building Partnerships to Strengthen Communities,” the 2005 Community Outreach Partnership Centers (COPC) conference. The destination this year is the Westin Michigan Avenue, located at the corner of Chicago’s “Magnificent Mile.” The conference will be held April 21-23, 2005. Attendees can participate in breakout sessions from four different tracks that focus on this year’s theme. Read descriptions of these sessions in the invitational brochure http://pull.xmr3.com/p/164-65D0/22667086/2005COPCinvite_revised.pdf that also includes information on a grant writing workshop, planned site visits, and hotel, registration, and travel information.
Established in 1994, OUP encourages and expands the efforts of colleges and universities that are striving to make a difference in their communities. They are committed to helping universities join with their neighbors in partnerships to resolve urban problems. These partnerships enable university students, faculty, and neighborhood organizations to work together to revitalize the economy, generate jobs, and rebuild healthy communities.
