Food System Colleagues –
Please mark you calendars for an upcoming webinar:
Building Capacity in Evaluating Outcomes
Tuesday, May 15, 2012
12pm CDT
Presenter: Samuel Pratsch, Evaluation Specialist; University of Wisconsin-Extension; Program Development and Evaluation
Evaluating outcomes is an essential part of food system projects. Our projects aim to build healthy, equitable, sustainable food systems, but how can we understand the impacts these projects are having on the participants and communities they serve? Identifying outcome objectives is one way to focus program goals and their expected impact.
This webinar will build the capacity of individuals, groups, and organizations in understanding, developing and evaluating outcomes. Participants will better understand the meaning of outcomes and how a focus on “outcomes” is different than a focus on “what we do”.
The webinar will cover:
success in outcome measurement,
organizational readiness for outcome measurement,
organizational barriers in evaluation.
Building capacity to do outcome development and assessment will help your organization to develop effective programs, highlight accomplishments, and build internal sustainability.
Please plan on joining us for this webinar. The webinar link is forthcoming.
