By valuing English language learners’ (ELLs) strengths, educators can also do more to address their specific needs. Several of the articles in this issue highlight innovative strategies to augment instruction for ELLs, from establishing targeted academic-support programs, to integrating high-leverage formative assessment practices, to using diagrams in math classes.
