Bringing Equity into Quality Improvement
A new two-part guide, produced by the Center for Health Professions’s ACTION program, focuses on the intersection of equity in care and quality improvement. This guide is for those wanting to understand the field of health care equity and looking for practical approaches for improving equity. Part one describes how the field has evolved and what opportunities are on the horizon for advancing equity in care. Part two highlights what infrastructure is needed, how to define metrics and use data, and how to tailor care to reduce disparities.
