Bread & Roses Community Fund Offers Grants for Criminal Justice System Reform Work in Delaware Valley

A partnership between the Phoebus Fund and Bread & Roses Community Fund, the Phoebus Criminal Justice Initiative is a donor-advised fund that gives grants to organizations working to address the root causes of crises within the United States’ criminal justice system. These include but are not limited to lack of police accountability, racially biased sentencing policies, growth of the for-profit prison industry, criminalization of youth, and the death penalty.
To be eligible, applicants must be nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, have an eligible fiscal sponsor,or have a pending 501(c)(3) application and be located in the Delaware Valley, which includes five Pennsylvania counties (Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery) and Camden County, New Jersey. Applicants also must have an organizational and/or distinct project budget under $150,000.
Grant amounts will range from $2,500 to $6,000.
