Bread & Roses honors co-founder Finkle
Tribute to Change is the annual event of the Bread and Roses Community Fund where Philadelphia-area progressives come together to celebrate advances for social justice.
Tribute to Change is also an opportunity to honor the accomplishments of community organizers and activists whose work inspires and creates real change.
This year’s event celebrates the work of well-known documentary photographer and Bread & Roses co-founder, Harvey Finkle. An exhibit of his work will be accompanied by a juried exhibit of work by younger photographers who are following in Finkle’s tradition.
Additionally, a short video, commissioned for this event, will be shown celebrating Harvey’s accomplishments and dedication to social justice.
The 2009 Tribute to Change – The Legacy of Harvey Finkle: Justice Behind the Lens, will be held on Thursday, October 15th from 6-8pm at the National Constitution Center, 525 Arch Street, Independence Mall. 6-8pm. Light fare and drinks served.
Tickets are $50 ($25 low-income), and sponsorship opportunities are available from $150-$10,000. To purchase tickets or sponsorships, click here or call Julie Howard at 215-731-1107 x204.
