Philadelphia flourishes with the diverse richness of its communities. The cultures, artistic traditions, and heritage of people who have come from all parts of the world to call Philadelphia home are celebrated every day and during special festivals such as Brazilian Day Philadelphia. Brazilian Day Philadelphia is the celebration of the Brazilian Independence Day. Its mission is to unite and strengthen the bonds of the Brazilian community in the region and to share with the American public the diverse ethnic heritage that makes Brazil unique and rich in cultural pride. The festival promotes a greater understanding, respect, and appreciation for the Brazilian culture and community. This free cultural exchange event also advocates tolerance and raises awareness of the ethnic heritage of citizens with Brazilian roots.

Since its inaugural festival in 2014, Brazilian Day Philadelphia has emerged as one of the most popular events in the annual PECO Multicultural Series. Vendors offer an abundant variety of authentic traditional foods and merchandise. Performers light up the stage with the contagious rhythms and dances of Brazil. The festival features a unique blend of Brazilian culture and showcase: Samba, Forro, Pagode, Capoeira, Samba–Reggae, and more. Mark your calendar!
