4th Annual Free Art and Writing Workshops for Boys Grades 7-12
Calling all makers, players, tinkerers thinkers … sons, brothers, coders, scientists, artists, crafters, poets, musicians, dancers, athletes, collaborators, designers, friends, superstars.
Boys Write Now Philadelphia, workshop series is back again for another summer season… We offer break out sessions for poetry and writing, comic and visual art, coding and game design, and more.
Boys Write Now is a project organized by U School teacher and Philadelphia Writing Project Teacher Consultant Samuel Reed, in conjunction with teaching artist Lamont Dixon and other established and emerging artists.
Boys Write Now is a companion program to Girls on Fire workshops. Both programs were originally set up as a summer enrichment programs. Boys Write Now provides online mentoring and support for students to submit entries for the NAACP ACT-SO Contest which includes 29 competitions in STEM, humanities, business, and performing, visual and culinary arts.
