Bookkeeper for Prometheus Radio Project

Job Summary

Prometheus seeks a bookkeeper with demonstrated experience with QuickBooks for 8-12 hours a week under the supervision of the Operations Manager.  Applications are being accepted now; the position will remain open until filled.   Send cover letter, resume, and references to [email protected]; please include the job title in the email subject line.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

* process donations and checks
* collect and process mail
* send thank yous
* reconcile paypal with quickbooks
* pay bills and contractor invoices and reimbursements that are authorized by program staff
* do quarterly reconciliations
* enter journal entries for payroll
* track office supply needs and restock
* produce weekly updates on work completed that week
* produce reports from Quickbooks as requested
* assist with database maintenance

Job Requirements

Ability to process information correctly and efficiently, work independently, pay attention to details, and maintain confidentiality.  Applicant must have demonstrated Quickbooks experience. Previous experience (one to three years) working as a Bookkeeper or Accountant preferred.

Compensation
$14.30 per hour as a contract employee. All Prometheus staff and contractors receive equivalent compensation.
