PCA invites block captains to help keep seniors cool in summer
Philadelphia Corporation for Aging ‘s first Block Captains Beat the Heat dinner and information session will take place Monday June 15th, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, 642 N. Broad Street in Philadelphia.
The program will include information on how to help elderly neighbors and others during periods of excessive heat, including information about PCA’s Heatline. There will also be a presentation on how to connect senior citizens with services available through PCA, and about its Helpline call center.
PCA is presenting this program in conjunction with the Philadelphia County Medical Society, to let block captains know about the resources available to them.
Attendees will receive a packet of information and giveaways, and there will be door prizes.
