Block Captain meeting – South Philadelphia

CASU – The Community Outreach Service Unit under the Division of Community Based Prevention Services will be meeting with area Block Captains in South Philadelphia on October 24, 2006 at 6 pm. at Tasker Street Baptist Church, 2010 Tasker Street. The purpose of this meeting is to
– Help organize Block Captain Associations
– Provide resources to area Block Captains
– Provide on going to support to Block Captains
– Provide a step by step manual for Block Captains development
CASU will be traveling around the city in an effort to support community development in all areas of Philadelphia. The Comunity Outreach Service Unit was created to gain a better working relationship with the community residents, a greater understanding of their needs, and to help resolve issues that are negatively impacting the lives of community residents. The goal of CASU is to help develop healthier and safer communities to live in.
