Title: Black Woman in Sport Foundation Program Coordinator
Supervision: Tina Sloan Green, Executive Director
Salary Level: Negotiable
General Description
The Coordinator will provide general oversight and orchestration for Foundation development and fundraising, evaluation, and coordination of BWSF programs and special events. This is a part-time position (20 hours/week).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordination:
? Coordinate and oversee BWSF after-school and summer programs
? Coordinate membership drive
? Coordinate monthly conference calls for the Board
? Coordinate technical assistance for BWSF programs
? Troubleshoot all requests for information
? Other duties as required
Development and Fundraising:
? Coordinate with organizations and foundations to solidify annual funding commitments
? Develop and implement a funding strategy to support the Major BWSF Conference
? Develop and implement a funding strategy for a full time BWSF Coordinator position and any additional central office staff positions
? Develop, in collaboration with the BWSF Board, a plan for the expansion of BWSF Programs
Evaluation:
? Evaluate data gathered and produce a final program report
? Monitor compliance to program requirements for contracted organizations
? Ensure that evaluations are sufficient to show impact of services
Skills Required:
? Master?s degree with relevant experience preferred
? Bachelor?s degree with a minimum of three years experience will be reviewed
? Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
? Understanding of program evaluation and outcomes
? Excellent grant writing skills
? Must be a team player who works well under pressure
? Strong customer service skills and a desire to assist youth
? Highly independent with advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills
