Black Male Development Symposium

The 2nd Annual Black Male Development Symposium will be held at Arcadia University on Saturday, March 5, 2005 from 8:00AM – 5:00 PM. The Symposium will provide an opportunity for youth, adults, educational institutions, community organizations and individuals to participate in a one-day symposium designed to address the life threatening issues facing Black male youth and adults. Informative local and national speakers such as Haki Madhubuti, Sonia Sanchez, Salome Thomas El, Dr. Carl Bell, Useni Perkins, Commissioner Sylvester Johnson and Jessica Care Moore and others will present interactive workshops that provide realistic strategies and concrete recommendations that can be put into practice in our respective communities. There will also be a Health Fair with screenings and a Literary Pavilion with nationally recognized authors.
Registration for students is $25 and adults $40. Each registrant will receive lunch, materials, a T-shirt and a 2005-06 membership to the African American Museum.
