Black History Month – Go Red for Women: Heart Truth Health Event – Feb 3

As we bring awareness to the fight for women’s heart health celebrating Black History Month, Let’s Go Red for Women: Heart Truth Health Fair. What is Your Heart Truth?
Heart Month is celebrated throughout the month of February because it is a time when many of us reflect on matters of the heart, including love and relationships along with emphasizing the importance of heart health for women.
Speakers will share critical information on heart-disease prevention, how to promote a Heart-Healthy lifestyle, and how to support those affected by cardiovascular conditions. The day’s activities include chair yoga, line-dancing, vendors, resource tables, door prizes, free flu vaccinations and screenings, CPR instruction, and the opportunity to take the Live A Heart-Healthy Life Pledge.
Dr. Delana Wardlaw, keynote speaker from Temple Health and invited guest speakers will address the importance of screening for heart disease and how to manage heart care throughout our life.
