Purpose
For nearly ten years, biodiversity has been acknowledged at the state and national level as a critical issue to be researched and incorporated into resource management and land use planning. In Pennsylvania, numerous agencies and organizations have been involved in compiling scientific research that will contribute to a statewide biodiversity conservation plan.
Efforts to achieve the sustainable conservation of natural communities will have far-reaching effects. This conference will foreshadow findings, implications, and potential recommendations from various current research projects as they relate to this conservation initiative.
Additional support for this conference has been provided by the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society
For Information Call (717) 486-3799.
