Bilingual English/Spanish Field Interviewer (PA-Philadelphia)
Position Description
Mathematica is working on a new public health study to better understand families’ food shopping choices. Data collection will take place in and around superstores, supermarkets and grocery stores, corner stores and bodegas, convenience stores and pharmacies in Philadelphia and the surrounding area.
Field interviewers will be responsible for collecting in-store information and conducting exit interviews with customers about their purchases as they leave the store. Applicants will need to be comfortable speaking with store owners and managers to gain their cooperation and be confident approaching members of the public to recruit them into the study.
The project will be collecting data in November and December 2016.

Position Requirements
Interested candidates should:
• Be confident and outgoing
• Be available to work at least 24 to 30 hours a week, including evenings and weekends
• Be resourceful, dependable, and possess excellent communication skills
• Be able to work independently
• Be willing to work in a variety of settings and neighborhoods
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation or access to public transportation
• Be willing to undergo a low level security clearance
• Experience in conducting in-person interviews is helpful, but not necessary
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
