bike riders needed, Gearing Up
Posted by Gearing Up on March 16, 2015
Gearing Up seeks volunteers to pedal with us!
Do you like riding your bicycle? Do you want to give back to the community? Do you want to empower women from all backgrounds to bike through Philadelphia? Then you are a perfect fit to be a Gearing Up Volunteer!
Gearing Up is a Philadelphia-based non-profit providing women in transition from abuse, addiction, and/or incarceration with the skills, equipment, and guidance to ride a bicycle for exercise, transportation, and personal growth. And you can help!!
As a volunteer, we ask that you come pedal with us to provide physical, emotional and social support for new riders. With partnerships in South, West and Northwest Philadelphia, we host approximately 12 rides per week – so there are plenty of opportunities to volunteer weekly or monthly. Interested? Sign up for a 1-hour volunteer orientation or learn more at http://www.gearing-up.org.
