Bicycle Coalition Bilingual Trainer (Contract Employee)
Posted by Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia on February 18, 2020
For the past forty-eight years, the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia has advocated for better bicycling infrastructure, access, and opportunity – promoting safety and community health. Our small staff comes from many walks of life, but everyone here shares the same passion: making bicycling a safe and fun way to get around for anyone in Greater Philadelphia. We work hard to improve bicycling for all people, but we do not lose sight of the fact that bicycling is fun.
The Bilingual Trainer is a contract employee that supports the work of the Better Bike Share Partnership (BBSP) contract with the City of Philadelphia. The position will work specifically with communities whose primary language is not English within the Indego bike share service area. (https://www.rideindego.com/stations/).
The Better Bike Share Partnership is a collaboration between the City of Philadelphia, Indego bike share, the National Association for Transportation Officials (NACTO), People for Bikes, and the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia. BBSP’s mission is to build equitable and replicable bike share systems across the country, with Philadelphia as a central location for testing and learning best practices. BBSP began in July 2014 through a grant from the JPB Foundation and will continue its work through support from the William Penn Foundation, as well as the third round of funding from the JPB Foundation.
