Posted by on July 23, 2012
We’re so excited to let you know about our forthcoming title— Beyond Zuccotti Park: Freedom of Assembly and the Occupation of Public Space. The work is a collection of forty original illustrated essays examining the value and accessibility of public space in light of the Occupy movement and accelerated social change. It is authored by prominent voices in planning and design, civil liberties, social sciences, community development, public health, and the arts.
This vanguard book is part of a larger initiative—Democracy, Equity, and Public Space—which is a collaboration of many kindred organizations including the Center for Architecture and AIA New York, City College of New York School of Architecture, the Pratt Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment, and Architects/Designers/Planners for Social Responsibility.
