BEST Technology Interns

Does your Organization Need Information Technology Interns?
The BEST program is an effort to help develop the Philadelphia region?s future Information Technology workforce. Its first initiative is to assist employers in sponsoring information technology interns in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Organized by the non-profit organization, The Reinvestment Fund and sixty executives of the BEST Leadership Council, BEST is an employer-led effort to create effective linkages between businesses and educational institutions that will help fill the 3,200 new IT jobs expected to be created by the regional economy annually for the next six years. Through internships, BEST hopes to provide students with the critical work experience that employers need for a successful workforce.
To date, 94 student interns have helped companies like Thomas Jefferson University, SEPTA, and FLEET with their skills in programming, technical support, networking, and web design. Students came from selected educational institutions, including the community colleges and tech schools serving Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
