Description:
This professional support position requires the Behavioral Specialist to collaborate with educators to diagnose and develop behavioral interventions for students. This includes assessing each student, collecting data, and writing plans in conjunction with teachers and administrators.
Responsibilities:
Designs, implements and monitors behavior intervention plans
Understands and works with the various support systems available in the school
Responsible for writing behavior goals for students.
Basic understanding of educational curriculum and instructional methods
Demonstrates a strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis
Designs and interprets Functional Analyses of Behavior
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with parents, professionals and students
