We are starting a new behavioral health initiative and will begin building a coalition to improve community access to healthcare, both physical and behavioral health. WAA will serve as the lead provider of trauma informed behavioral health services in a coalition of agencies.

Behavioral Health Project Coordinator (PT)
The Project Coordinator will be the coordinator of this behavioral health initiative for a community based health center pilot project. The goal is to continue building a coalition to improve community access to healthcare, both physical and behavioral health. WAA will serve as the lead provider of trauma informed behavioral health services in a coalition of agencies whose goal is to improve linkages and ultimately increase accessibility to physical and behavioral health resources for residents within a section of lower North Philadelphia (a 33-square block neighborhood). Responsibilities of this position will include: providing assistance with the start up operation of this initiative, including creating & managing the project files, records, coordination of meetings (agendas, minutes, follow up), ensuring we meet reporting requirements, and other grant management related items; assisting with the collaboration among service providers within the community based health center; providing trauma-informed behavioral health services to a population experiencing high levels of violence, in order to mitigate the long-term effects of trauma; researching and reporting on best practices for community based holistic health services, as required; and actively participating in training and education regarding the Sanctuary Model.
This project and the coordinator position are funded for approximately 2 ½ years, with the hope of becoming permanent at the completion.
Qualifications:
• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other social science related field
• At least two year of experience providing therapeutic services to adults
• Prior supervisory experience and coordinating services required
• Project and/or grant management experience required
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with a minimum of 2 years experience
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc..) skills
• Knowledge of the dynamics of trauma is preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of the dynamics of addiction, co-dependency, recovery and relapse prevention is preferred
• Knowledge of the Sanctuary Model is a plus
• Able to work extended and flex hours when necessary
• Ability to work under pressure and handle crisis situations
• Must satisfactorily pass criminal (state & FBI) and child abuse clearances and must attend 40 hours of Domestic Violence Training
Hours: part-time Monday thru Friday, scheduled 20 hours per week (schedule TBD). Salary: commensurate with experience.
