What is An Asthma Educator
An asthma educator is an expert in teaching, educating and counseling individuals and their families with asthma by providing the knowledge and skills necessary to minimize the impact of asthma on their quality of life.
Target Audience
Licensed health care professionals that currently provide care or wish to provide care to someone with asthma.

• Physician assistants

• Health educators
• Respiratory Therapists
• Pharmacists
Course Objectives
Guidelines for asthma management includes lecture, interactive problem based case studies and device workshop. Based on the 2007 National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) EPR-3 and Global Initiative for
Asthma.
