Beautification at Center in the Park – Jun 22
Posted by Center in the Park on June 20, 2023
Founded in 1968, Center in the Park (CIP) is a non-profit community center in Northwest Philadelphia primarily focused on the needs of older people. The Center fosters respect, independence, and personal growth for each individual. As a community resource, it provides access to supportive services and activities.
CIP is looking for help with beautifying the park for the senior citizens and the rest of the Germantown residents. The facility has been available to take care of the community since 1968, so we would like to take care of them and their clients.
CIP requested help with some weeding, mulching, and removal of vines and debris in the park. We are excited to work outside and support such a wonderful non-profit.
We will have t-shirts and lunch, just bring your hands and willingness to get dirty. For those that need non-labor intensive work, we will be cleaning all the trash and debris from around the park, too.
Date and Time: June 22, 2023, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Center in the Park, 5818 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA
