The Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment & Opportunity Launching New Benefits Referral Sites
The Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity is excited to announce the launch of a new round of Benefits Referral Sites! We are looking to hear from organizations by 5 pm on Friday, October 2nd.
These sites are based at community organizations around Philadelphia and serve to support outreach for the BenePhilly Centers by providing benefits screening and referrals to a BenePhilly Center to support the application process. We are looking for organizations to serve as Benefits Referral sites beginning in November.
Serving as a Benefits Referral Site will enable your clients to know what benefits they are eligible for and connect them to high-quality services to help them get enrolled in critical public benefits, such as:
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/Food Stamps)
- Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC),
- Utility assistance
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and many more.
To join us in this exciting work, please respond to the Request for Information that can be found on our website. Responses will be accepted until 5 pm on Friday, October 2nd, 2015.
If your organization has submitted a response in the past, the application is still on file and CEO will reach out with more specific instructions on the next steps.
For more information regarding the timeline, selection criteria or submission requirements, visit the RFI or email Kristian Ogungbemi at [email protected].
