Bank of America issues RFP for organizations working in basic human needs, income creation

Bank of America works to develop strong partnerships with nonprofit organizations focused on issues fundamental to economic mobility in low- and moderate-income communities. The bank is focused on improving the lives of individuals and families by investing in health, jobs, and strengthening broader community vitality by addressing needs related to small business resiliency, and community development.

To that end, the bank has issued an RFP for basic needs and income creation. Grants will be awarded in the following areas:

Ensuring basic human needs: Access to necessities related to health and wellness—including health care, disease prevention, healthy food, homelessness, and crisis or disaster response.

Creating income: Enabling job or career readiness and exposure, sustainable incomes to advance entrepreneurship, small business, and/or financial resilience.

The foundation will accept applications for this opportunity through March 3, 2025.

To be eligible, applicants must be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, not classified as a private foundation, not operating through a fiscal agent or sponsor, and based and serving communities in eligible markets.

For complete program guidelines, application instructions, and a short eligibility quiz, see the Bank of America website.

Deadline: March 3, 2025
