Bartram?s Garden Boat Tour with Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP)
We have organized a very unique opportunity for you to meet and mingle with Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP) – riverside!
Philadelphia Young Nonprofit Leaders and YIP invite you to join us for a fabulous summer cruise on the Schuylkill River:
THURSDAY, AUGUST 11th
6:30-8:00 p.m. (boat departs at 7:00 p.m.; please arrive promptly at 6:30 p.m.)
$20 per person
Contact Keri Salerno at [email protected] with any questions about this event.
The boat tour is operated by Bartram’s Garden in Southwest Philadelphia, the site of the historic home and garden of the Bartrams, America’s pioneering family of naturalists, botanists and explorers. We’ll board the River Loop for a scenic, hour-long cruise up the river through Center City to the Waterworks and return to Bartram’s Garden. Along the route, Executive Director Bill LeFevre will educate us about the history of the river and development along its banks. There will be ample opportunity for networking with YIP on the river and on land after the cruise (location TBD).

A NOTE ABOUT OUR PARTNER:
Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP) is a nonprofit, grassroots organization that aims to increase civic engagement among young Philadelphians and to facilitate reforms that help to create a better Philadelphia. YIP achieves these goals via education about civic affairs, social events and outings, and advocacy around key issues facing the city. While YIP?s primary mission is to engage young adults, it brings together the young and young-at-heart to work together for a brighter future for Philadelphia.
