Applications for grants from the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy to support family-oriented literacy programs. Projects must include literacy or pre-literacy instruction for children, reading instruction for parents or primary caregivers, and intergenerational reading activities. Grants of up to $65,000.00 each are available. Additional information is available on the foundation?s Web site. Who may apply: public or nonprofit family-literacy organizations that have existed for at least two years and whose instructional literacy programs have also been in existence for at least two years.
