BALTIMORE GREEN WEEK
March 22 thru 26, 2004
Baltimore, Maryland
The first annual Baltimore Green Week will present a weeklong series of public events to highlight the diverse and cutting-edge practices of sustainable building and design. Architects, urban planners, manufacturers, builders, and scientists from around the world will showcase the new technologies and innovative programs that are changing our homes, offices, neighborhoods, and environment in the 21st Century. The week’s events include a landmark film on sustainable design and production; a trade show sponsored by the nation’s leading construction and building consortium; a lecture by an award-winning architecture firm; and a town hall meeting to discuss local homeowner opportunities and civic “greening” projects, such as a Baltimore City-sponsored program that is transforming vacant lots into community gardens.
