A little more than a year into his tenure as the School District of Philadelphia’s Superintendent, Dr. Tony Watlington returns to Education First Compact to share his reflections on the past year and his vision for the year ahead.
What progress has been made towards Dr. Watlington’s vision of Philadelphia becoming the “fastest improving large urban school district in the country?” What challenges still lie ahead? How does the ever-changing political landscape, Act 158, ESSER funding, and the landmark Commonwealth Court decision, factor in?
