Deadline: Deadline: April 1, 2003
The Gerontological Health Section of the American Public Health Association (http://www.geronet.ucla.edu/ghsnet/) is accepting nominations for its 2003 Archstone Foundation Award for Excellence in Program Innovation.
The award is designed to identify best-practice models in the field of aging and health. Emphasis will be given to those programs in operation ten years or less but long enough to have documented results that have effectively linked academic theory with applied practice in the field of public health and aging.
The criteria for award selection will include creativity in project design, documented outcomes and benefits of the program, replication potential, and dissemination strategy.
The winner is expected to attend the 131st annual meeting of the American Public Health Association in San Francisco, California, November 15-19, 2003, and make a presentation in a special Gerontological Health Section Award Session. Honorable mention to other finalists may be awarded. The winner will receive a $1,000 cash award, and each honorable mention will receive a $250 cash award.
