MetLife Foundation Awards for Excellence in Affordable Housing Announces National Call for Entries
Deadline: May 31, 2011
Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. and the MetLife Foundation are accepting entries for the 16th Annual MetLife Foundation Awards for Excellence in Affordable Housing. This year’s competition focuses on best practices in the area of green and service-enriched affordable housing for seniors.
The competition provides recognition and support to nonprofit organizations that have shown excellence in affordable senior housing in terms of design, supportive services, operations, and property management . Since it was established in 1995, the annual program has honored eighty-nine affordable housing developers and service providers across the United States and has awarded a total of more than $1.5 million.
This year, four winning organizations will receive $50,000 each in unrestricted funds, recognition at the annual conference of Leading Age (formerly the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging), a commemorative plaque, and recognition at a local event.
Entries must be from recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and tribes/tribally designated housing entities. Each entry must also demonstrate innovation in supportive services and green building technology.
Visit the Enterprise Community Partners Web site for complete award program information and entry procedures.
