GlaxoSmithKline Awards Available to Community Healthcare Organizations in Philadelphia Area
Deadline: September 13, 2004
Through the Eighth Annual GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT Awards, pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline will award a total of $400,000 to small and mid-size community-based health-care organizations in the greater Philadelphia area. The program is designed to reward excellence in the delivery of nonprofit community healthcare.
Ten award winners will receive $40,000 each and will be honored in 2005 with a special event to take place in Philadelphia.
Selection criteria for IMPACT awards include commitment to serving people in need; facilitating access to health-care delivery, education, creative partnerships, and policy development; and demonstration of a solid record of achievement, management, and leadership. Organizations must have an operating or program budget of under $2 million and have been in existence at least five years to be eligible for an award.
To qualify for the program, nonprofit healthcare organizations must be nominated by individuals knowledgeable of the complexities and challenges of healthcare delivery in their communities.
Nomination brochures and forms can be downloaded from the program’s Web site.
