Mission Statement: At The Well Young Women’s Leadership Academy seeks to empower young women locally to become effective leaders globally. By promoting excellence in education, young talent will transform their communities. We encourage girls to live beyond their limitations, achieve beyond their dreams, and impact communities beyond their reach.

Mission statement
The Academy equips young minority women with the essential tools that create great leaders. The two-week boarding program is housed on the campus of Princeton University. The session serves exceptional scholars with diverse socio-economic backgrounds who are entering the tenth, eleventh, or twelfth grades of high school. We intentionally seek candidates from underrepresented communities.

The Academy nurtures and cultivates tomorrow’s leaders. Scholars can expect to experience the following results:

  • Higher academic achievement and motivation in school
  • Greater confidence on standardized tests
  • Benefits of extracurricular activities and community service
  • Increased empowerment and self-confidence

  • College financial aid/Scholarship boot camp

Admission is competitive and based upon the following guidelines:

  • Complete application
  • Written essay
  • 3.0 grade point average
  • Recommendation letter(s)
