Asthma & Environmental Education for Health Professionals
In May of 2011 the National Nursing Centers Consortium, in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Agency, provided a free training for nurses, nursing students, and community health care professionals titled Asthma & Environmental Education for Health Professionals. This workshop was designed to address the impact of in-home environmental hazards on asthma and focused on the following:
Utilizing Healthy Homes guidelines for asthmatic clients;
Implementing environmental home assessments tailored for clinical settings; and
Identifying environmental hazards that affect asthmatic patients.
The slides for this presentation are now available. Please visit our website to access the workshop slides. For more information, contact Todd Ziegler at 215-731-7148 or [email protected].
