The Associate Vice President, Adult & Community Education and Special Projects leads and implements the strategic design, operation, and direction of the College’s diverse portfolio of credit-free and community education programs, to include adult basic education (ABE), high school equivalency (HSE), the English as a Second Language (ESL) Institute, and lifelong learning programs. The Associate Vice President also provides general oversight of the College’s K.E.Y.S. (Keystone Education Yields Success) Program and is responsible for grant & contract writing, management, and compliance; budget creation/planning and management; program marketing and student recruitment, retention, and completion; program data review and analysis; as well as the design, execution, and leadership of special projects as assigned by the Vice President. The Associate Vice President works with other College departments and external partners to lead the design and implementation of programs that bridge students in credit-free programs to credit and workforce programs and leads the coordination and implementation of assessment processes to enhance program and student outcomes. The Associate Vice President serves as one of the appointed representatives of the Vice President to the local, regional, and state adult education and workforce community, the School District of Philadelphia, and other community-based partner organizations.
