Associate Director, Event and Conference Services, Drexel University

The Associate Director of Drexel Event & Conference Services is a key contributor to the effective operations and services of the department. Event Services books over 14,000 events annually for a variety of constituents including student groups, departments and external groups. The office oversees facility usage and coordinates the efforts of university service departments and outside vendors to support events on the University City campus. The Drexel Conference Services program operates June through September, managing over 31,300 bed-nights for more than 40 internal and external groups resulting in approximately $1.0 million in revenue each year.
As an integral team member in Events & Conference Services, and subsequently Campus Services, the Associate Director serves as the main deputy to the Director of Event & Conference Services. The Associate Director provides expertise, training, and direction in the coordination and execution of internal, external and co-sponsored events. The Associate Director serves as the primary point person and coordinator for the Summer Conference program, planning and executing services for conferences, meetings, camps and related functions and ensures the quality of accommodations for conference guests and their programs.
