Assistant Professor of Ethnic Studies and Director of Academic Innovation, Albion College, The Phila. Center
Posted by Philadelphia Center on November 24, 2020
The Ethnic Studies Program and The Philadelphia Center (TPC) at Albion College invites applications for a joint tenure-track Assistant Professor and Director of Academic Innovation position. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equality and diversity. The appointment will begin January 2021 and will be located at The Philadelphia Center (in Pennsylvania), with some travel to and from Albion College. The faculty role for this position is a member of the Ethnic Studies program at Albion College. All applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand at the start of appointment, contribute to the department’s and Center’s programs, maintain a program of research excellence, and participate in college-wide initiatives. The normal teaching load for Albion College faculty is three courses each semester; due to the administrative leadership responsibilities of this role however, the teaching load is reduced accordingly (3 courses per year). Given the 12 month nature of this position, preference will be given to candidates with established scholarship and advanced tenure probationary status.
