Assistant Director of Advancement, Community Partnership School

Given our success to date, Community Partnership School is in a position to double the size of our school and broaden the scope of our impact. As the School enters its second decade, we seek an experienced fundraiser with the know-how and drive to skillfully navigate the Philadelphia philanthropic community. The Assistant Director of Development will have primary responsibility for grant writing, stewardship, corporate and individual giving programs and assist with database management and outreach initiatives that increase the school’s visibility throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University, preferably in non-profit management or related field.
- A proven commitment to working with a diverse constituency in a multicultural setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work well with a wide range of people
- 3+ years of experience in a grant writing, corporate gift cultivation, relationship management/development in a non-profit, educational institution or related field. Must be self-sufficient at database recording, navigation, and reporting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational capacity, comfort working in a team environment, and self-motivation to set and exceed goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and donor database software
