Needed: Active and Energetic Assistant Director for Summer Program of Organic Farming, Nutrition and Entrepreneurship for Youth
June 15-August 4, 2011

Triskeles’ Food for Thought Program offers a busy five weeks of experiential activities to a diverse group of youth ages 14-18. We are seeking an assistant director with the talents and interests necessary for a successful season.

Are you interested in healthy food? Organic agriculture? Sustainability?
Can you teach and direct youth?
Can you lead activities, team-building sessions?
Give honest, supportive feedback?
Work with adults and youth in a cooperative environment?
Are you interested in entrepreneurship? Exploring the business models behind food production?

The asst. director will work with other experienced staff in several program areas:

*  Experiential learning activities on local CSA’s, 3 mornings each week
* Nutrition and cooking sessions with youth
* Food entrepreneurship program helping youth and families develop organic gardens at a Section 8 housing locale and an elementary school
* Family nutrition sessions with youth and their families
* Approximately timeframe: June 15-August 4, 2011 full-time (some part-time work may be available after May 18th and into August)
* Good references, a car, valid license and clean driving record, and background checks required
* Perfect for a young adult, mature college or graduate student.
* Minority applicants encouraged.
